Small town club with big city prices
I was in town for a Saturday evening so decided to give the Shady Lady a try. I figured being in the middle of Kansas it would be a good time and not break the bank. I was wrong (sad face). The bar is actually really nice for a small town. Walked in and paid the cover charge of $10. The the right as you walk in there is a pool table and to the left is the stage in the center. The bar is in the back and that is where everyone was since it was only 8:30 on a Saturday night. I took me about 10 minutes to get a beer (I can't remember the price). There was no one on stage so I just sat at a table in a comfortable chair and checked my emails and if I had any tinder matches. A dancer finally came by and sat on my lab. We chatted a little and then the topic of dances came up. I was ready for some action and then she told me the prices... $40 per dance or you get a discount for 3 at $100. She said we could do any hour VIP for the low price of $1,000. With a shocked look on my face I told her I would pass as that was a bit of a commitment. I went back to my phone and went through the sitting on my lap and chatting a couple more times with a couple more dancers until finally one got me to bite on the $100 for 3. We get to the room and there is just a chair for me to sit on and she asked for payment up front. I paid she started dancing with half a song already passed and then immediately went into pitching the VIP rooms. I told her I am not interested and she asked what my budget was for the night. I kindly declined to answer as she finished up the 2.5 songs for $100 and we went our separate ways. This was the end of the short night for me at the Shady Lady. I won't be back for the reason of having to pay big city downtown club prices (or more) for the middle of Kansas. It is a nice place to hang out and if you have a big budget I am sure there is a lot of fun to be had. It just isn't my thing.
