sinclair's Review
I went to Blaze Gentlemen’s Club on a Tuesday night after midnight. The bar my business partner and I were drinking at decided to shut down at midnight due to a lack of customers, so we strolled down to Bourbon Street where I knew something would be open. All of us Big Easy clubbers know that this club was known as Stiletto’s Cabaret before closing down and sitting vacant for about four years. A couple dancers latched onto us while we were still on the sidewalk. We entered without paying a cover charge. There is a stage with a single pole in the center of the room that is a peninsula that juts off from the front wall. We sat in the front alcove, which used to be a lap dance booth many moons ago when Stiletto’s Cabaret was open. There is a bar along the back half of the left wall. This lame club didn’t even have Sincweisers, so I had to settle for a Sinc Light. My buddy had a Coors Light. Both beers were $8 in twelve ounce bottles. I bought a dancer a shot of Jameson for a steep $13. All of the music was hip hop.
There were a dozen dancers working. All of the dancers were African-American. You could classify almost every dancer as either overweight or beat up from having kids. I am no fan of lard or stretch marks and saggy tits. I was returning to my seat from the disgusting washroom when a fat sow pushed up from the bar and backed up her forty-four inch cottage cheese ass right into me, almost knocking me to the floor. There was only one fuckable dancer working here: an athletic twenty-one year old with B cups. I tipped her well for being the only attractive female in the building. She was shy and didn’t give me much interaction. My buddy then went up to the stage and started tipping her. He was flirting with her and feeling up her Creole curves in front of everyone. Eventually, the manager came over and yelled at him to stop touching the dancer. Dancers strip down to topless. Most of the customers seemed to just stare aimlessly and nurse a drink. There was very little stage tipping going on.
Private dances are $40 per song or three songs for $100. The house takes a twenty-five percent cut of each dance sold. You prepay an employee at a podium on the way to the courtyard. The lap dances take place in the old servant quarters of the building, accessed through the courtyard. There are VIP rooms on the second floor for hour and half hour sessions. I didn’t see any patrons buying private dances or a VIP room.
