A not so great return to Ruby’s.
This was my first time back to Ruby’s II in quite a while. I got there at around 2:00 PM and parked in the lot across the street, tipping the guy who was monitoring the lot.
When I entered the club, it took me a few seconds for my eyes to adjust to the dim lighting. There was no cover when I came in. I have described the layout in previous reviews, but to recap: when you come in you are in the bar area. O the wall in front of you, there is a TV set to one of the sports channels. To your left, there is an open wall that opens to the stage. You can also go into the adjacent room where the stage, some tables, and a couple of pool tables can be found. If you go further back in that room, you will enter the private dance area. There is room for 8 people to get private dances at a time, though I have never seen it that crowded back there.
A note about the bar - this place will serve non-alcoholic drinks (I only drink water). However, you can bring alcohol into the club and the bartender will store your booze for you and charge you a bottle charge when she serves you your own alcohol. I was told by the bartender that there was a three-drink minimum, but I wound up getting two waters over the 2.5 hours I was there.
