Now I Know and Now I Won’t (Come Back)
Based upon recent mixed reviews, I decided to stop in and check the place out for myself on a recent weekday afternoon. Parking is easy, and it is not far from the inter of 95 and 76. The bathroom was clean. There seems to be food available, but I did not partake. The bar area is large, circular and well kept, and just like its Jersey neighbors, the stages (there are two) are behind the bar. The ladies enter via a circular staircase in the to the stages. With those huge platform shoes they all seem to wear, it looks rather difficult for them to navigate.
Because I went in the afternoon there was no cover. I paid $5 for my soda (so I thought) and settled in. I *thought* that I paid $5, and handed the bartender a $10, but never got my change back. Lesson learned.
Early in the afternoon there seemed to be four or five women on duty, plus the bartender. Two were pinned down by regulars (both heavyset blondes) and there was almost no dollar train. The routine seems to be that the ladies enter via the staircase, dance for one or two songs, circulate behind the bar for tips, and then work the crowd. After spending almost an hour there, I saw three women dance, and only one went topless. The stage was empty for long periods of time, but at least the music selection was tolerable. The bartender might have been the best looking woman there, but given that I had nearly no interaction with her because she was busy chatting with the regulars, I cannot say for sure.
