Eh, whatever…

While vacationing in Florida I’ve taken the opportunity to explore some of the clubs, several on the east coast and now one on the west. This one was very different in my experience.

Vixens is located on what appears to be a major street, not some back alley. It’s a small to medium sized club with one stage and two poles. Like most Florida clubs the first thing I noticed was smoke. (Is this an anti-swamp Florida thing - screw the no smoking laws?) Not the worst smokey room I’ve seen but kinda thick anyway. The other thing I immediately noticed was the noise - not just loud music but a noisy crowd. The place was about half full and people were talking at max volume, yelling across the room, loudly laughing and so on. Customers sitting stageside were jumping up throwing piles of ones and just generally being rowdy. Nothing though was out of hand, meaning any rough behavior, but just rowdy. I was very much reminded of a frat party.

I mentioned rainmaking. People were throwing so many bills that a bouncer was acting like a croupier raking bills scattered on the stage into nice neat piles fo the dancers to pick up at the end of their stage sets.
