Good but not Great

Made a short trip into TJ as part of a larger non-mongering trip within Mexico. As before, I flew into TIJ and grabbed a taxi to the ZN (price went up to 500 from 450). Check-in at Cascadas was a bit of a nightmare this time, maybe because I was packed for a few weeks and not just a couple of days. The security dude went through literally everything down to looking at individual charging cables and my bluetooth keyboard. Not sure what he was looking for really unless somebody's been posting naughty pics or videos. Even then, he didn't look twice at my phone so who knows. The moral of the story is pack light if you can manage it or your check-in might take close to an hour like mine.

Last note about check-in: I paid by credit and the guy at the desk must also have been new because he couldn't understand why he couldn't just tap the card on the terminal to process the transaction. I think tapping is relatively new in Mexico because I had to explain to him that you can set a transaction limit on what you can pay for that way, and I set mine to $25 before I left home.

Outside of that, nothing much was different from my last trip last year. I was there for Sunday/Monday to avoid the crowds so the quality of the chicas was mediocre with a few gems present. Going price for sessions was almost always $120, subject to negotiation. I was quoted $150 a couple of times but just smiled and walked away. Seems like the chicas have adjusted to the fact that they were pushing it at that price. I didn't have one chica ask for a $30 bottle of wine either which was also a welcome change. One new thing that I did notice though was a few of the girls I took up wanted to order a drink from the bar once we got to the room. Maybe that's management's new idea to generate revenue.
