One of the (minor) advantages of Private Eyes is the location - a little way down 45th Street and, unlike the other clubs in the immediate area, it is not directly on a major thoroughfare where thousands of visitors from across the globe can see you heading through the doors!

Although I was there on a Saturday night at 8pm, there were relatively few customers around. The arrangement is a bit awkward - a large stage with a continuous seating area to the left and back. This is where most dances are done - in clear view of all club visitors and staff. This makes the experience entirely unenjoyable unless you have exhibitonist tendencies. The dancers themselves are a significant notch below Flashdancers - mostly 4-7s - they are in general nice and there is plenty of opportunity to have a conversation with them. The combination of high prices, average talent and an average experience makes it hard to rate "Private Eyes" more than a "5" overall.
