Another night at the 5

Another business trip to Vancouver so thought I would stop at the 5. Make sure you take an uber or taxi right to the door, it’s not in the best part of town.

$5 cover and I was in. The room is a basic rectangle with the bar at the back of the room, and the stage area sunken into the middle. It’s easy to get around and there is usually lots of seating available.

Went on a Tuesday night so it wasn’t too busy. Stage shows were not as frequent as I would like, but it was a weeknight so I could complain too much. The servers were good making sure drinks were plentiful as necessary. The 5 is a dive bar in every sense of the word, but there’s a certain charm to it.
