Things to like, but it needs more dancers
Club Onyx has had the "Follies Day Shift" thing in their ads and social media for a while. I know some of the people involved harken back to that long-defunct club, but Onyx bears almost no resemblance to Follies as far as I can tell.
That's not all bad. The club is much nicer inside. It's a large space with bars at either end and a long stage with multiple poles through the center. There are tables along the stage, and a series of raised booths along the sides. Everything is in good shape and feels somewhat polished.
Dances are $10/song. Unlike Vivide, the dancers can straddle you. My dances have been good, with decent and directed grind, encouraged touching, etc.. The dancers have been friendly as well. There was a somewhat even mix of black and latina, with one or two white dancers. They were mostly natural and all "fine". None of them really caught my eye, but none were unpleasant.
