Cafe Atlantis -- Yea or nea?
Cafe atlantis sits at the end of Atlantic Drive (So named because Atlantic Packaging, Ontario's purveyor of fine recycled paper products (Think Toilet paper and Tampons) is at the other end.
Cafe Atlantis is a bit of misnomer. There's no food, so no Cafe, and there's no swimming pool or shower show (Unlike the abandoned shower at New Locomotion), so no Atlantis.
What there is, is a ton of hot women. And actually my favourite VIP section, but let me describe the place.
First of all, there's plenty of parking, but watch out for that pothole when you enter.
You enter, no cover ever. And right away there's a sea of tables. There's no bar seating and two "areas" to watch the stage or do whatever.
Your drink is your cover. They swoop on you pretty fast after you sit down.
Nice stage with a real staircase going up. Security is ever present but I've never felt in danger.
Now let me get to the "deal". This is an extras club. There are three VIP areas. At the top of the stairs are a bunch of cubicles to the right, a "group" area to the left, and across the hall is a dark area with couches. That's the extras area. I never take them, but the first two is where I've been always taken.
If you read the reviews on New Loco, you'll know what to expect here. $10 sodas, $16 mixed drinks. No cover. No extra "vip" charge like brantford or Guelph. I think of it as a pay-as-you-go system, and I like that.
This place is a little grittier than new loco. Where the the typical customers at new loco are middle managers or the about to retire engineer, Cafe gets the factory worker. Dancers who work at both tell me guys spend more at loco, and I believe it.
But there are diamonds in the rough here. A lot of people posting that they prefer New Loco to Cafe. And I agree I prefer it too, but Cafe is a different experience, a different vibe, and there can be a wait to work at New Loco, so if you like newer dancers then this may be a good place to put on your rotation.
All the times I've been there I've gotten a lap dance that has met or exceeded expectations. I did not take up offers for extras.
There is a tendency of dancers to sit along the wall furthest from the entrance. If you go back there, you can have your pick, but again, I warn you, it gets VERY busy on weekend nights.
Dances are the standard $20 Mississauga fee. And you have New Loco, Midway, airport strip and million dollar very close, so for me, the question isn't "should I go to Atlantis", it's figuring out a "circuit" for clubs to visit if you don't know who is working tonight. For me, it's always loco first, but that's because I'm coming from Burlington. If it's not hopping then Atlantis is about 10 min away, and I've never had to go elsewhere. Your mileage may vary.
