Friday night, to maximize chances

Friday night, 8pm. I was able to find street parking on the same block as Rick's. $2 an hour paid with quarters until it becomes free after 10pm. (Valet is a thing of the past.) Doorman swung the door for me. No ID check. Nice. $10 cover, I think. Coat check girl took jacket and cap. Once inside, many patrons wearing baseball caps. That would have not been the case in the past.

Was going to forego the club description, but there have been some changes made. The main stage is still at the far end after you enter. But it is no longer against the wall. Seems to me like they moved the wall back, and there are now tables behind it as well as the other three sides. Further, VIP section to the right is no longer elevated. The long low wall that used to fence it off from main floor is gone now. It is replaced by velvet ropes, so people sitting there are much more exposed than formerly. Also more light there, so you can appreciate the velvety overstuffed couches in that area. For a change, some people actually ended up sitting there this night.
