Small, dark, dirty, loud dive.

I tried Moochie's once before about a year or so ago. That time I walked in and turned around to walk right back out. There were no dancers at all, nor anyone else except the guy that charged me cover. I decided to give them another try.

Moochies is in East St. Louis / Washington Park, about ten minutes or so from downtown St. Louis. It's deeper into the challenged neighborhood than some of the other nearby clubs. Hustler is right at the highway intersection, and C-Mowes is on the slightly more main road. Getting to Moochies involves a drive down a pitted road past multiple burned out wrecks of buildings.

The small parking lot was gravel and full of holes, but actually had cars in it so I decided to go in. Cover was $5, and the door guy did a perfunctory pat down. The club is relatively small with a front area at the door with some seats and one side of the bar. On the other side of the bar is a slightly larger area with both bar stools and tables with chairs, and a small stage.
