A Blast at the Cafe

I had a great time when I stopped into the Cafe for my first Canadian club. I grew up in Canada, but never went to a strip club here. If they are all like this, I could definitely see myself going to many more.

You walk into this building through the corner and come into an entry/coat room. This aspect of the club was by far the most disorderly and run-down. There were posters half ripped from the wall and some barstools knocked over in the corner. It wasn’t a fantastic first impression. There was no one there collecting any cover, if they aren’t doing it on a Saturday night, maybe they never do? I don’t know. This entry room also has the bathrooms. The men’s bathroom was also quite a mess when I went in there later. One of the urinals was out of order and the other had a guy on it so I decided to piss in the stall. There was trash on the ground in there and the stall door didn’t close. This didn’t bother me as I was just pissing, but might not have been good if I was sitting on the toilet.

From there you walk into the club which is a big rectangular room which has a bar on the left side and the stage juts out (sort of a T shape) on the right side. Peppered throughout the room (and pretty packed in there) are a bunch of low top tables and chairs sort of strewn about between them. There is also a raised side of the room on the far side. I’m not sure if there’s anything special about over there, but I just sat near the entry door. First, though, I got a drink and had to deal with the bartender. He was a very angry man who seemed to have no time to talk despite the place not being that busy. Later in the night when I asked him for change, he made a big deal about it like it was such an odd request. I got a ginger ale and it was reasonably priced. 3CAD I believe. It should be noted that if you are coming from America, the Canadian dollar will work in your favor here.
