Things Have Indeed Changed

I’ve been going to this place since the early 90s (it’s literally down the street from where I live) and have posted a few past reviews about it. As others have mentioned, new management has taken over and it has changed significantly. Some changes are for the better, others not so much.

I haven’t been back since the Before Times, but last Friday night I found myself with a few extra bucks to throw away and nothing to do, so back I went.

Cover is up to thirty bucks, and there is a shiny new metal detector and pat-down at the entrance. So much for the Admiral’s former “classy” ambiance… The hours are back at 5pm to 6am all week (free cover from 5pm to 7pm) and it is indeed byob. Of course the website is still un-updated since 2011 or some shit, but whatever.
