Monday night at LS
Price: Valet parking is $7. A Diet Coke is $9 plus tip, and the cover charge is $20. If you arrive before 7 PM, I believe there is no cover fee. The small rooms cost $20, and the slightly larger ones are $40. There is also a bathroom attendant.
Place: The music is extremely loud—so loud that it's almost absurd. Numerous studies have shown that prolonged exposure to this level of noise can cause hearing damage. I'm surprised there are no health codes regulating this. There's a mandatory coat check. The stage is in the center, with four dancers performing at the same time. The dancing is very low-effort. Tables and bar seating are free. Booths cost $40.
Dancers: There were about 15 dancers on this Monday night. Most did not speak English. (Maybe that's one reason why they keep the music volume so high?) There were a lot of Cubans, a few African Americans, mostly Latinos, and some East Asians. I was very lucky to find someone extremely to my liking, who reminded me of my unfortunate first love during middle school. (Her name is intentionally left out.) She asked for $400, I countered with $300, and she agreed. We took the larger room for $40. The room is definitely bigger but still only has a narrow couch attached to the wall. I mean, I wanted to do missionary, but with that setup, it's just impossible. (Please give me advice on positions with limited space and surface). The bigger room actually has a spot with slightly better lighting. The whole session was still very enjoyable for me, but I suppose that can be highly subjective, as just looking at her made me happy. The activities included CBJ and CPIV.
