Visited Rick’s on a Saturday Evening During Steelers Playoff Game

I left a review before for Rick’s in Pittsburgh but I can give a lot more details after I visited again last night during the Steelers playoff game against the Ravens. I still think Rick’s is the best club in Pittsburgh but it does have its draw backs. The biggest one being the prices. It is now a $20 cover charge to get in, when it used to only be $10. The door hostess tried selling us on bottle service which is very expensive here and I was not interested in at all. I feel like everything at this club is rigged against you to spend money, which I get it, it’s a business, but you shouldn’t seek money so often that it hinders the customer’s experience. I was with two friends when we went in. They have a free coat rack at the door which was cool. It was only about 8:30 on a Saturday when we came in and it was completely dead at that hour. There was maybe like 2-3 other people in there besides the workers. But I was told it was early on a Saturday yet and that after the Steelers game, it should pick up. Me and my buddies sat at the stage and threw $1 bills for a little bit. Rick’s has a very good stage show because it is full nude and all the dancers are very good at what they do. And if there’s not many people at the stage, the dancers will talk to you and give you a fun experience. Every single dancer there that I saw on stage got fully nude which I’ve come to find is not as common as you would think, at least not in this area. Something happened though that really pissed me and my friends off. One of the bouncers came up and said “if you guys want to sit at my stage, you have to be throwing ones.” And pretty much demanded that we exchange for more $1 bills. Idk if he was joking or what, but if he wasn’t, he must not have seen the substantial amount of ones we had already thrown at the dancers. I really don’t know what that was about, maybe it was some sort of weird joke, but it was very strange and made me a little bit uncomfortable. All other bouncers there though are really cool and respectful. Another thing to keep an eye out for at Rick’s if you haven’t been there is this petite Asian woman that goes by Ivy. She is a legitimate scam artist. She tried telling my one buddy, who hadn’t been there before, that it is $150 for a 3 song dance, $700 for a half hour private room, and $1,300 for an hour. Luckily, with me being there before and knowing the prices of everything, I shut that down immediately. Do not fall for her, she is pushy and will try and sell you on whatever she can. I was also told she won’t even allow touching during a lap dance, which to me is asinine for a dancer who is pushy and wanting to get money so badly. Luckily though that’s been a rarity for me at Rick’s, most of the dancers are cool and are not pushy and don’t demand insane tips like some do. A lot of them give solid lap dances too. But as far as prices go (if you don’t get a dancer that tries scamming you), it’s $35 for one song, and $95 for three songs (plus tips obviously). When I did the private VIP rooms in the past, if I remember correctly, it’s around $2-250 for a half hour plus tips and I believe somewhere around $400 for an hour. I personally don’t really think the private rooms are worth it but that’s up to you and depends on what you want to get out of a strip club. It’s honestly the same experience as a normal 1-3 song dance, just more time and full nudity. Despite the high prices and the occasional scamming dancers, I do think Rick’s is a very well ran club and you’re guaranteed to get a quality experience, if you’re there to hang out, check out the stage show, and get some basic lap dances. Definitely is a very good stage show, especially compared to other places in the area. I do think Rick’s is the best in Pittsburgh, but that’s just my opinion. I’d recommend going but only if your budget allows for it. If you don’t really want to spend a lot of money at a club, then Rick‘s probably is not the place to go. But if you do have the budget, I do think it’s a pretty solid place to go, especially in terms of what’s in Pittsburgh.
