Same, but with more and hotter dancers
Today was my first trip to Mickey's since the change of ownership. I arrived on a Tuesday at 3:30. With seven cars in the lot, there was plenty of space. There is also plenty of space inside: about 20 seats at the bar (one customer) and five or six tables (one dancer and her customer, neither of whom moved while I was there). I would describe the club furnishings as one step up from Spartan (Pool table).
The bar top doubles as a stage. Usually there's one topless woman not exactly dancing on the bar, but sort of moving around. Today, for the first time in my memory, nobody was on stage, and nobody seemed to care. The club Facebook page listed five dancers, of whom I saw four: three white and over 40, and one black and mid twenties (I'm guessing). The one I didn't see is Hispanic and also twenties. This is slightly more dancers than I usually see here, and the average appearance was a lot better than the usual crew from last year. (One told me this is the new owner's deliberate strategy to get more customers. It works for me )
Prices here are on the low end. No daytime cover, Coke under $5. Lap dances are $20 per 5 minutes, paid in advance to the bartender. Half of that goes to the dancer, so if you're really cheap, you have an excuse for minimal tipping. Conversely, that means the dancer is motivated to maximize tips, so expect significant mileage.
