Time to hit the pause button
Went on a post-holiday visit early Monday afternoon. Disappointing! The parking lot was empty, which should have been a sign. The club, though clean, was in dis-array from the construction and there were only 3 or 4 dancers working. The waitress told me that the club had been scheduled to be closed that day but the contractors cancelled at the last minute -- hence almost no dancers. She explained that they'll be changing the entire layout (including the stages) to accommodate the new bar (which will only serve beer and non-alcoholic drinks initially). The only upside to the visit is that at least Luna and Naomi were working, so it wasn't a total write-off. But they mentioned that the "house" was planning to charge the dancers a lot more once the bar opened (? why) and that there might be an exodus of some of the talent to more favorable venues. Bottom line is that I'll probably sit back and let the dust settle for a couple months before visiting again.
