Easy Like Sunday Afternoon

A friend and I decided to try Platinum 84 for the fist time after running a few errands on a Sunday and not being in a hurry to be anywhere else. We had never been there before and figured it was a safe time to try it out. If it was dead, we could at least watch the Broncos game (they beat the Chiefs 38-0 to enter the playoffs).

No cover at this time of day, and a jovial pat-down by the door man. When you walk in and face the interior of the club, you have the bar on your immediate right. Past the bar and along the right side wall are the bottle service booths. The bathrooms are on the back wall. I think there was another bar in the back left. Along the left side, closer to the front, was a glass brick wall, behind which is the private dance area. I heard nothing about a special VIP room. Front center was a circular stage, with another, more oval stage in the center of the room. Low tables and chairs fill the floor. After having spent our last few outing at Dandy Dan's, where the chairs resemble cheap motel banquet seating, the arm chairs at P84 were luxurious.

There were 10-12 girls working, and only the stage towards the front was occupied. There were maybe another 6-7 patrons and at least two of them had already secured table-side company. We grabbed a couple beers at the bar ($9 each) and found a table in the middle where we could easily watch both the stage and the game.
