A few changes -- some good, some meh

The place itself is in a sketchy looking but pretty safe part of Bloomfield. Coming from the Garden State Parkway you can wend your way to it by going through a Home Depot parking lot. Plenty of parking in a lot across the street once upon a time monitored by local cops (for customer's safety, not for hassling anyone). The bar itself is kind of an irregular 6-sided tetris piece looking thing. There are 6-7 curtained off booths for dances downstairs, but except for the two near the DJ booth (near the main front entrance) they've got extremely upright extremely shallow-seated benches. Two near the pool tables were okay until recently refurbished, but no longer. The two near the DJ booths are more spacious and more comfortable, but if the place is busy, expect to wait. Or go upstairs. A few girls will try to upsell you for an additional charge to go up there, but most won't. It's $240ish for a half hour, if I'm recalling right. There are three private rooms up there with doors each with a couch. Order drinks when you go up and the bartender will bring them to your room. Unfortunately it's also a cigar bar so usually smokey AF. Usually no waiting, but there are TVs including one closed circuit of the stage downstairs to bide your time if need be. The music piped in to each room is off the upstairs jukebox, or you can hook up a phone. There's a dimmer switch on the wall to control the volume.

Not as high mileage a place as certain Paterson or Burlington spots, but chiller, friendlier vibe and the talent is consistently the best in NJ, IMO, looks-wise. Twenty a pop for dances downstairs, pretty low on the pressure sell, overcounted dances, or general hustle although YMMV. The dollar parade is not as bad as some places, it's usually twice around at the end of a dancer's set, more often taken directly from your hand than other places, but it varies girl to girl.

Mostly it's eastern European, with a few Asian-looking (but they're also from one of the eastern 'Stans too), with sprinkling of some home-grown talent. There's been an infusion of new talent lately and they do a good job spreading it around the nights of the week, so going on a slow Tuesday or Wednesday picking your first or second choice for a dance is a pretty good bet -- usually just from making eye contact on stage, or asking the girl's name when she comes for a tip. But keep an eye on those booths near the DJ -- your chiropractor will thank you.
