Back in Swiss Paradise

I was back in Switzerland at the end of November after a few years away. I'll readily admit that returning to Globe was a significant part of me choosing to fly in and out of Zurich as opposed to other cities in Europe (the airline ticket was cheap this time of year too). I went to the club several times while in country, including Tuesday Public Sex day at either end of the trip.

Globe is located in a suburb of Zurich, easily reachable by S-Bahn train from downtown and only a short walk from the nearest station. There's also a small parking lot out front if you're driving. You enter the club into a reception area where you'll be charged 95 CHF for entrance (about $110) plus a 10 CHF deposit for your bathrobe and towels. You'll get that back when you leave if you remember to bring them to the desk. You'll get a wristband with a key for your locker. Grab your bath shoes and head off down the hallway to the locker room to change and shower. Along the way you'll pass the small lockboxes where you can store your wallet.

The main area of the club is one big room with a bar at the end. Soft drinks are free or you can pay for liquor. There's a central stage near the bar with bench seating around it. Girls will sometimes do a one song set on stage and there are more elaborate stage shows a couple times per day. There's lots of seating elsewhere around the room. In various corners are a sauna, a couple of jacuzzis and a porn theater. Upstairs is a dining room; the basic menu of the day is included in the entry and is decent.
