Mostly skinny, enhanced women, but some variety and a unique experience
I sometimes wonder if the German nudists of Freikörperkultur (FKK) are irritated that the term has been adopted by the brothel sauna clubs. I imagine it makes it difficult to find an FKK location/event that isn't a sex club. In any case, I was traveling through Europe for a few weeks and decided to take a look at some, including Club Globe in Zurich. I wanted to get a sense of the place on different days, since the theme changes, so over time I visited on several different days of the week.
.
Club Globe is one of the most often mentioned FKK clubs, with many people online singing its praises. It was easy to reach via train from downtown Zurich. I took the S9 a few stops. From there it was a short walk past a pizza place and around a corner to reach the club. From hotel door to train to club door was maybe 30 minutes. The club entry has a buzzer and you have to wait for the door to be unlocked, though on one visit the door was just left open.
.
Once inside, the woman behind the counter (who spoke excellent English) gave me the rundown. The entry fee was 95 CHF (about $118 in USD). They also charged an additional 10 CHF as a deposit on the key. I was given a robe and towel (two towels is also an option), sandals, and a wristband key. There's a set of small boxes in the hall on the way to the locker room where you can put cash and phones. The locker room was clean and had several rows of good-sized lockers. The showers are inside, set up in a row in a shared space to the side. The floor in the shower room was occasionally slippery.
.
The club is fairly large, with a couple of bars (one never staffed), a small stage, couches, and a few separate rooms including a tiny theater playing porn. They have some sauna facilities including dry heat, steam heat, and a cold plunge. These were rarely occupied. There was a hot tub, which sometimes had a guy relaxing in it. They had some free weights, which was odd. I didn't see anyone go near them, and can't really imagine anyone doing so. At the bar you can get soft drinks or water for free. For alcohol, they note the number on your key and you settle up when you leave. I don't know the prices.
.
There's an upstairs space with a dining room. On Friday/Saturday they had a buffet that was included in the entry fee. It was fine -- nothing special but some basic meat, potatoes, and vegetables. The other days there was no buffet. They had food you could order, but it wasn't clear to me how that worked. I didn't have my phone to translate, though one sign mentioned a burger. I saw women getting "dinner number 1", which was a pasta dish. I'm not sure how much that offering varies by day, and I didn't see any prices.
.
The stage frequently, but not always, had a woman dancing on it. That was mostly just walking in a circle around the pole there, and not really a dance performance. On Tuesday they had a "gangbang" performance, where one woman went on stage with three men (all recruited customers, I believe, who got to play for free). She stroked and blew them, and one of them fucked her. Two guys didn't get hard enough to take turns behind her. They change the days a bit, so you can check which are FKK/nude, which hsa the public sex, and what other shows they might have on their website. The "nonstop shows" mentioned for Fridays and Saturdays were just the boring stage walk.
.
Other than that one performance, there wasn't much to look at or do. Mostly you sit around and wait to talk to a woman. Honestly there were long stretches of boredom. I also found the pressure a bit high. Some women would ask if I wanted to chat, and if I said yes they then got offended if five minutes later I turned them down for a room. I learned to only chat at all with ones that opened a conversation instead of asking if I wanted their time. There also, unsurprisingly, was no intermediate service like at a strip club. You can't just get a dance to try out the vibe. It's either all-in on a room, or nothing. A few women did chat a bit longer with me. I found it awkward to approach some without knowing for sure if I'd want to spend time with them.
.
The women ranged from skinny to thin. Many had fake breasts, lip injections, and other work done. They had a certain look that I'm sure is up someone's alley, but I didn't find most of them terribly appealing. There were none that were even remotely curvy. The collection was mostly pelvic bones and ribs with boobs. That said, there were a few women with more natural bodies as well, and with patience I found some I was interested each day I visited.
.
On Friday and Saturday there were many women. They wore lingerie which generally looked pretty good. On Sunday there were far fewer women, and there was a long stretch of time where I was just sitting in a room in a robe surrounded by other men in robes. I almost just left. Monday was an "FKK day" which meant the women were all nude. This made the place feel more like a brothel and less like a low-activity strip club, and made the minor "shows" on the stage slightly better. It also made it easier to tell whether the women had fake boobs or not. On Tuesday the regular service rooms were closed, and it was a "public sex" day. That was also effectively an FKK/nude day.
.
Couples played in the common areas on every day, not just Tuesday, but it was far more common on Tuesday. Multiple people enjoyed blowjobs while the stage performance went on in front of them. People had sex sort of behind curtains, while others fucked without any discretion at all. It was a very hedonistic atmosphere. There are a couple of rooms on the main floor, and curtained beds that offer a modicum of privacy on the public sex day, but (reasonably respectful) peeks were common.
.
The basic rate for serivces was 150 CHF (about $190 USD) for thirty minutes. The website says that thirty minutes of "basic service" is 100 CHF, but that didn't seem to be a thing for any of the women I talked to. Possibly if you just wanted a simple BJ or bang and not much interaction you could get that rate. You can go to a corner of the main club, or the woman will get a key to a room upstairs. The rooms were fine, with good sized beds that were adequate. Fresh sheets were put on the bed after service, and everything was clean. The rooms were way too hot, with little air circulation. They had fans in them, but the whole club was a little stifling.
.
I wasn't sure if I'd have trouble because I wanted a more sensual experience and wasn't going to get full service. (Yes, yes, I went to a brothel and didn't have intercourse.) My apprehension was only partially warranted. I managed conversations with a number of women who were enthusiastic when I described what I wanted (or feigned it, of course). I never felt remotely rushed in the rooms. For the price -- under $200 for a half hour with a naked woman doing naked things -- it was a good experience.
.
You pay after the service. You gather your payment from the little boxes and go to the front counter and pay the woman there. She always asked if I was happy. I think it would be awkward to say "no" at that point, but I was never not happy so it wasn't an issue. The club took a cut from the 150 CHF (10 or 20, I'm not sure) and handed the rest to the woman. Several women joined me in the shower afterwards to clean up, which was a nice, friendly way to end things.
.
Overall, I see the appeal. Women getting naked and providing sexual services for a relatively low rate is hard to beat. I can imagine someone more adventurous than me having any number of exciting experiences. I had fun, but I also had a lot of dead time. When you're not actively engaged in a room, there's nothing to do, and not much to watch. Most strip clubs are more entertaining. I would definitely go back if I'm ever in Zurich again. I'd have to think about how to change my approach to have less time just sitting around.
