Nothing Too Fancy, A Midtown Staple
I popped by Satin Dolls on a Tuesday evening. The place has been well reviewed / described before so I won't belabor it, but there's one stage for dancers and a lounge area. There's a bar area at the entrance with the main stage/lounge behind a closed set of doors, the open lounge is where you can pay for dances.
It wasn't too busy when I dropped by and tends to be a little more lowkey even when busy in general, maybe 10 PLs in the building total including myself, but not surprising for a weekday evening. There were 10-15 dancers working, not so many but easy to get plenty of attention. Dancers were of all ethnicities, I spent some time with a flirty Latina but all the dancers seemed flirty (and would also take no for an answer).
Drinks were pricey, to be expected of a Manhattan club (but I feel like I am always sticker shocked by the $60 for two mixed drinks). Dances are the standard $20. The one thing I like about Satin Dolls vs. other clubs in Manhattan is that it has an intermediate VIP room option - at other clubs (FD in particular), you have to pay for an hour minimum, and at Satin Dolls, there are 15 min rooms, 30 min rooms that offer something a little more medium priced. The 15 min rooms can be semi private or fully private. This night, I didn't go for a private option because I couldn't stay long but the lower priced private rooms are around $250 for the shorter time, which really isn't so bad for the area and I've done them in the past. YMMV depending on dancer and room option.
