sinclair's Review
I went to Club Alex’s at 00:45 on a Friday night, technically very early Saturday morning. There was a tiered cover charge. I paid a $12 cover charge, which was the specified amount from 22:00 to 01:00. From 20:00 to 22:00, the cover was $5. From 01:00 to 02:00, the cover charge was $15. Part of the dress code was no muscle shirts, so I had to go back out to my car and put a sleeved shirt on. I was wanded with a handheld metal detector. Club Alex’s had a ridiculous amount of male staff on the premises.
Upon entering, a large rectangle stage takes up most of the right side of the room. The main stage had one pole position and two hanging rings. The rings flanked each side of the stripper pole. The left side of the room was tables and chairs with four lap dance couches along the left wall, with the customers’ benches facing inward towards the club. There was no privacy for lap dances. There is also a VIP room on the front left in a walk-in closet type of space, but has cameras. There is a small bar on the back left of the room. People standing and sitting in front of the bar made it difficult to get a beer. Sincweisers were $7 in bottles.
There were about fifteen dancers working with attractiveness ranging from a 3 to an 8. Dancers at Club Alex’s tended to be younger, whiter, and overall less adventurous than at Boardroom Cabaret, which is just a six minute drive away. What was frustrating for me was that this place is billed as a nude club, but not all the dancers even got nude on stage.
