Cheap steak with a nice view

I had only been to Acropolis once, and that had to be over 10 years ago. I found myself in Portland again and decided to give it another shot on this rainy Wednesday night. I got to the club around 9pm and the parking lot was mostly empty. Once inside it took the door guy a minute to realize I was standing there but I paid my $5 cover and he pointed me in the direction of the bar. There were probably 10 people in the club besides me, including three dancers and kitchen staff. I bought a drink and took a seat away from the stage to look at the menu. I’ve never really seen a place like this that lets people eat full meals right at the stage, but I decided I’d rather hang at a table further back until I was finished. I ordered steak bites for $8 which came with garlic bread. Also ordered fries for $3.50 which was a much bigger portion than I expected. Incredibly reasonable prices considering what McDonalds charges these days! The menu included several other steak options, a TWO POUND hamburger, fish and chips, etc. Overall I was really impressed with the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff. It really felt much more like a neighborhood dive bar than a strip club.

Enough about all that, let’s get to the entertainment! Like I said before there were only three girls working tonight. The 1st dancer I saw didn’t get any attention from the few patrons in the place and kinda spun around the poll topless a little bit. The 2nd girl that danced was a fun little spinner, covered head to toe in tattoos. There was one guy that sat at the stage to see her and to my surprise she stripped totally naked while chatting with him. I guess I didn’t realize that Oregon lets dancers get fully nude at clubs that serve alcohol. I finished my steak bites around the same time she finished dancing and took a seat at the stage to watch their third dancer (Rickie) up close. She was definitely the most attractive girl in the place but very down to earth and fun/funny. She was happy to talk and hang out with me completely nude. After she finished her dances I decided to call it a night.

I didn’t spend much money at all, but not sure I could have even if I tried. There was no pressure to buy dances or drinks or food or anything. It was so low pressure, I don’t even know if they offer table dances or have a VIP area because no one mentioned it. I had virtually no contact with the dancers, and I don’t think anyone else did either. Acropolis is an inexpensive local hang with decent food and good company. It’s the kind of place where couples might go and the girls spend time casually chatting with their regulars. I’d definitely visit again
