It's Been A While, So Why Not?
It’s been a few months since my last visit to Vivide, so I decided to give it another shot. I arrived just before 4PM. The paved parking lot was full, so I parked along the fence in the grassy/gravel area. I received a pat-down and paid $10 for admission and proceeded inside. The upstairs area was decorated with Halloween decorations, but it wasn’t in use for dancers and patrons.
After a quick stop by the restroom, I found a corner on one of the booths. I took a few minutes to see if there were any dancers in particular that might be of interest. The dancer makeup was predominantly Latina, many of which were sitting together in groups. There were about 10 Black dancers. The dancers ranged in size from slim, petite to some on the thicker side. There seemed to be a decent number of options and little wait time for dancers. Although the parking lot was full, it didn’t feel crowded inside.
The first dancer that approached was a petite, caramel skinned Black dancer. She offered a dance, but I told her I might try later. After that a Latina approached me, but I declined as well. I decided to a give a slim, thick Cuban dancer with a natural body a try. She gave me a nice grind and allowed my hands to roam before asking about VIP. She quoted $200 for VIP. I countered with $150, and she agreed. After paying the house fee, she asked if I wanted one of the downstairs or upstairs VIP areas. I choose upstairs since I hadn’t experienced one of those before. The VIP area across the catwalk was occupied, so we waited at an upstairs table for a few minutes where we exchanged pleasantries in the minimal English and Spanish that we both knew. She didn’t disappoint in VIP.
