Late Tuesday Afternoon

I visited Ecstasy Theatre in Santa Ana, California on Tuesday Sep 24, 2024 in the late afternoon between about 4:15 and 5:15. The club is on Warner Ave near the corner of Fairview in what is mostly an industrial area. There is free self parking in a modestly sized walled lot around the building. It’s a standalone rectangular building entrance in a short side. Pay a $10 cover and enter. No security stuff. Once you enter you are immediately hit up for a required 2 non-alcohol drinks, paid $7 each for generic bottled water. So down $24 right off the bat.

The long room has the bar in the middle of the left side with the restroom to its left. The lap dance rooms are on both sides of the bar and restrooms. Down the middle of the main room is the stage which is a dog-bone shape, two small round areas with a pole each joined by a narrower walkway. Chairs by the stage and some small tables and chairs just sway from it. At the end of the stage near the entrance are a few rows of theater type seats. DJ station at far right end of the stage. Some colored lights. Not a super fancy room but not worn out either.

There were only a handful of customers, and 4 dancers. There was one more dancer who was leaving as I entered. A dancer said the day shift tends to be busier around lunch time. She also said that on the evening shift which starts at 6:30 dancers often don’t come in right away so it may be awhile before things get going. When I was there no one danced on the stage although the music was continuous.
