Bia Brightens the Playhouse Deadzone
The Playhouse Lounge, the big pink building on Route 130, offers ample parking, especially in the afternoon. While they don't serve alcohol, a $10 cover charge gets you two soft drinks and BYOB privileges with convenient storage.
I came in later in the afternoon than I have in the past, and I think that was a mistake. It must have been in between shifts. Lena came up to me right as I walked in and gave me the hard sell, with a good barside performance. I had just gotten there and didn't want to go back yet. "I'm leaving now this is your last chance."
The overall atmosphere was subdued, with fewer dancers than normal and a surprisingly empty stage. And, the dancers that were there gave up pretty quickly when I declined a private dance. (Usually they come back a few times.)
