A New Hope

Long ago Sugar N Spice was second to the Ballpark (RIP) in terms of mileage. It was a hole in the wall but it definitely served its purpose. Went downhill after one of the bartenders passed away, then went way downhill after COVID.

Now it re-opened with a new name and owner. I was eager to see how much the place had changed. IA shooting there recently made the news so I opted to go in the afternoon.

Upon entering I encountered a huge security guard that patted me down, (a welcome surprise in light of the recent events). Layout was similar. Huge bar with two stages behind. Only now it didn’t smell and they definitely repainted and looks like refurbished everything.
