Not an El Paso club of yore, but satisfying and good enough to repeat

Buck’s is a Texas chain of strip clubs. The El Paso location is located where Xcape used to be. Reading the reviews here, Red Parrot is no longer an enjoyable place. So, being in El Paso I decided to try Bucks. Cover was $15. They checked my ID. There is a main stage and a smaller one off to the side. Dancers do two sets at each stage. They dance topless, but some did not remove any clothing. Go figure. I paid $4, $5 with tip, for a domestic beer. Drinks other than beers were $8. No table side lap dances are available, but there is an area off the other side other side of the main stage with individual booths where topless “VIP” dances are held at $25 a pop. The VIP dances are monitored by a bouncer/security, but one of the dancers I had a VIP from told me to ignore him, he was there for the dancers protection. She also said that he was there to enforce the rule that dancers can’t get on their knees in front of a customer. So that eliminates that option. To the rear of the VIP area is a more private dance area, the Champagne room, that I was quoted $400 for a half hour plus more to the dancer for “extra effort”. I declined. The music is a mix of Norteno/Tejano and rap/hiphop, reflecting the dancer makeup I guess. It is played at an acceptable level. There is a respectable restroom, but it is attended by a troll. The big drawback to the club is that they use a smoke machine, which not only obscures clear views of the dancers at times, but can make it hard to breathe. I almost left the first time they fired it up.

There were about 15-20 dancers and about twice that many customers. Two thirds of the dancers were hispanic, split evenly between Cubans and Local/Mexican hispanics. The remaining third was mostly African America with several white dancers, but they were in the minority. No Asians, but that is typical of the southwest clubs. The dancers were all attractive in my opinion and ranged from thin, but not anorexic, to well filled out and lots in between.

I turned down several of the Cubanas for being too pushy, until one of the local hispanics, Stella?, came over, sat in my lap, and handily convinced me to get a VIP dance. She had a typical Latina body, a bit thick, but in all the right places. The dances were good with OTP stick shifting and mutual two way touching encouraged. Worth repeating with.
