Palomino
1848 Las Vegas Blvd N North Las Vegas, NV 89030
Maybe I went in with too high of expectations from other reviews but it was just ok. As others have stated, it's a trainwreck to get there safely. I opted for the southern route because there have been incidents on the northern route. I parked across the street at the casino and had no issues. The area is sketchy AF. Probably better to go with some buddies if possible. Entrance is off the main street and there is the usual awkward entrance area. Bouncer asked a few annoying questions and seemed to be making up a random entry fee, around $40. Paid and went inside. The club itself is very typical for LV. It's a bit of a strange layout with the main room in the back and the side room that was open sometimes but not really. Then VIP is upstairs the weirdly angled staircase. Maybe it was just a bad night, but very few of the women seemed particularly attractive. Lots of hustle factor and since it was Friday, there was no place to sit. After a disappointing time, finally saw a 19 year old brunette with a pink bracelet wandering with a smile. Introduced myself and found a bit of hope. She offered to show me the VIP options upstairs and decided to go for it on the left VIP. At first, you think the room is nice, but the cubicles are pretty awful since there is a sizable opening in them. The brunette spend most of the time in front of the opening so bouncers always had a good look at us. She was also 100% air dance, which was a huge disappointment. She was one of the most attractive girls, so I had to convince myself that it couldn't get any better, but definitely did not walk out satisfied. Hung out downstairs again to see if anyone better would walk by but not really. I can imagine that Palomino has gone through the same degradation of other nearby clubs where maybe it was a great atmosphere and dance factory before the pandemic. But now, it just had a really blah feeling. Music wasn't that great, girls weren't that great, dances weren't that great. It's a real shame that some of these more local favorites have taken a bit of dive from the old days of model level girls and 'what happens here stays here' type of action. Combine it with the sketchy neighborhood and it doesn't feel like the bang is worth the buck or the risk. Feels like the big chain clubs off Highland and Sammy Davis are the last hope in LV in spite of their awful prices.
