Disappointed by the new Morgantown scene!

I was visiting Morgantown for the weekend with some buddies from college, the week before school came back in. Had been 20 years since we were all in Morgantown and the place has changed a lot- but the strip club scene not for the better. We had tried to hit up Fine Diamonds on Friday but struck out as it was closed for the summer. That should have been our indication that we should let well enough be- but we decided to hit Southern Exposure on Saturday.

I arrived first and decided to go in and stake it out. I paid 10 dollar cover (and had my ID scanned in doorway lobby), before being buzzed in. I went to the bar and got a Bud, which was a good value at 3 bucks. I was the only patron there, with 6 or so dancers sitting around the bar or in corners of the club on their phones. After trying to talk to a few girls (all 5-6s), I went to the stage and sat, hoping to bring the girls to the stage while I waited. A few came over and tried to sell me on rooms, at an outrageous 200 per 15 mins plus tip. I passed, as I was waiting for my friends and like to have a few drinks and scout the talent out before I get a dance. After 30 minutes, no one got on stage and the girls stopped paying me any mind as I had turned a few of them down for an immediate dance. My friends still weren’t there after 2 beers and no dances, so I cut my losses and left. Hopefully this club is a better time when there are college girls filling their roster, but the summertime townies didn’t have any interest in showing some skin before a private dance. May try to repeat during the school year.
