Probably a good place for locals if you put the time in

This was my first time visiting the Porthole. I had read some reviews and they seemed to be all over the place but this is one of the clubs in the area that I've never been to so I wanted to give it a chance.

The club is located in a strip mall off Sample. It's easy to see from the road. Parking is free but it can be frustrating to find a spot close to the bar. I entered at about 7pm on a Thursday and was not asked to pay a cover but it could have been because I was there early. This is definitely and old place that has clearly seen better days. When you walk in you'll immediately notice a large square bar that dominates the space. To your left is a small stage with some seating and table in front of it. Further back is a hallway that leads to the bathrooms and the curtained booths used for dances. I had read that they were using porta-pottys while the bathrooms were being remodeled but it appears the construction is finished as the bathrooms were open and functional.

My first impression was that this is definitely a locals place. Sitting around the bar were a lot of PLs and many had a dancer sitting next to them having drinks. The talent was....not great. Most of the girls are AAs with a mix of some white and Latina girls as well. Average rating for me was a 5 with one or two 6's sitting with customers. I found a seat at the bar and ordered a Modello. It was $7 with tip. I was sitting next to what a though was a very hot AA girl who had her back to me. She was wearing a sheer lacy robe thing that covered her up but when she turned around, it was clear she was at least 50 years old. She greeted me and we chatted a bit and I though she was going to try and stick to me but she was luckily called up to the stage. However, as she was walking by me she said "It's so slow today. I wonder where all the blow job lovers are at". So clearly, extras are on the table here from at least some of the dancers. She went to the stage for her 3 songs and only got topless. I didn't see any of the stage dancers get fully nude. After a few more minutes, I was approached by an average looking Latina. She chatted me up for a few minutes and then offered a dance. Curiosity got the best of me so I agreed to a $25 dance just to see what would be offered. The answer was not much. The dance was relatively uninspired and she didn't push for anything more so I stopped after just one song. I returned to my seat, finished my beer and saw absolutely nothing else that interested me or wasn't already tied up with another customer so I left.
