Visited: Thursday Evening

I had a little free time on a recent Thursday evening, and decided to check out Cracker Jaxx for the first time. TL;DR summary - my first experience here was positive, and I would absolutely stop by again.

GETTING TO AND GETTING IN THE CLUB - The club was only about a 10 minute drive from my hotel. I didn’t personally have any concerns about the location, other than the fact that I hit a fair number of ruts and potholes on the way to the club. But I don’t recall any issues with the parking lot itself. I grabbed a prime parking spot directly in front of the club, and there appeared to be plenty more parking off to the side. Anyway, I walked into the club around 6 PM. There’s a little bit of a foyer area with some t-shirts and other merch for sale, and the attendant is a few steps to the right. No cover charge…hooray! I think the sign in the foyer said $5 cover after 7PM. No complaints there!

CLUB ENVIRONMENT - as for lighting, the club is a bit darker than my eyes would prefer, but nothing too crazy. Once my eyes adjusted, it was fine. The building seems like a good sized and fairly wide rectangle, and it feels spacious inside. The bar area takes up lots of space on the right side of the club, and the stage area is intertwined with the bar. Two of the three poles are directly behind the bar, and one pole is to the left of the bar, coming out further into the room, close to the foyer. Round tables with reasonably comfy, cushioned seat bottoms are scattered throughout. A corridor on the far right side leads to the restrooms, and off to the left side of the club are a dance area with some cubicles, two pool tables, and I think the champagne rooms are also over there. I only noticed 2 big screen TVs, and I don’t think the bar offers a great view of either. The music was sometimes a bit loud for me, but I heard a good mix of tunes spanning country, pop, hip hop, and other easy to listen to songs. The decor looks good, and the club smells good too.
