What a Fallen Empire

For those who don't know. This club used to be called Inner Room. It had $10 dancers day and night. Cheap drinks also. Think dive bar with extras. The club was always packed. I mean you could go on a dry ass Tuesday and you would struggle to find a seat.

The owner Lamar(RIP) sold it 6 years ago after owning the club for something crazy like 40 years. The new owner Gene had a dumb idea to make it an upscale strip club like it was Miami. The problem is Cocoa Beach is nothing like Miami and never will be. The place is always empty now. I was in the area and said what the hell, since I haven't been in 3 years now.

I go in Thursday night. No cover. Gone is the wood frame bar, dirty carpet, small wood and brass stage, smell of cigarettes and sex in the air. It's replaced with a dog bone shaped stage with leather seats that considered VIP with bottle service. If you get dances here, everyone would literally see everything you do. The bar was made larger with TV's all over it. There are also three VIP booths with a small couch and TV in there. All these changes and wasted money spent to have an empty club.
