An Unfortunate Incident

Showed up around 5 pm to beat the cover charge but ended up paying for it with boredom. Dayshift is an old timers ' refuge. Retirees sipping beer at the bar w/ dancers. About 6 dancers I rated 6-8.

Skipped out on the boredom and went to entertain myself at Publix, the beach and my hotel. Loaded up on caffeine, returned to Lido's around 11 pm and the number of dancers and patrons had tripled.

Got a $25 dance from a young Cuban who tried to start mid-song. Made her stop and wait for the next song. She had no rhythm so I cut her off after one dance.

Ordered a beer at the bar but kept my eye on the stage, trying to decide which dancer might give me the most enjoyable/ memorable dance.

At some point an intense debate broke out in the group. My fraternity brothers were arguing about GameStop and I lost track of time.
