I am not sure if I would go back, but it was fun.

This was my first time. The club looks the kind of place I like. It is largely Latina and looks like a dive. I pay the cover price and enter. I notice that there are way more dancers than men.

I am immediately accosted by two Cuban dancers--one is taller and larger (not fat, but big boned) and the other is more petite. I order a beer.

For a bit they make small talk (in Spanish). Then for about a half hour or forty-five minutes they take turns trying to get me to do a dance, promising me everything but the moon. Finally one dancer gets up. I decide to buy a dance from the other woman.

The dances are in a room in the back; there are a sort of booths that are lined up next to each other. There is no real privacy, but there is a bit of seclusion. It is $20 a song. As we are waiting in the back for the next song to start, the other dancer returns and wants me to buy dancers from her as well. While the idea was exciting--both dancers were attractive--I didn't really want to spend $40 a song. The other dancer pouts and acts offended, but I tell her next time.

Anyway, I end up getting 5 dances. They were nice dances, with a bit of mileage but no real extras. I think I got ripped off somehow (i.e., I think she charged me some extra songs), and I don't really think it is kosher to ask me to tip the woman at the entrance. That said, even with the extra charges, it was fun. It was more than I would have liked to spend but not enough to make it too expensive for a once in a while thing.
