Terrific Venue, Crowded on Weekends
This is probably my favorite strip club layout I've ever attended. The space feels stylish, everywhere is within reach of the long stage, it feels intimate while still fitting in quite a number of guests and dancers. The lap-dance rooms are these plush-red booths; you're just a curtain away from the dozen other dances going on, but you'll still feel private. The whole space feels swanky but a little seedy, a North American imagination of a French cabaret. Love it.
The dancers, on Saturday night, were very diverse in type and all were personable; all those I spoke to were regulars based in Montréal and native English or French speakers (presumably competent in the other) - no circuit Eastern Europeans that I encountered, anyway. So a lot of the private dances felt chatty and social. I like this and encouraged it. As for extras, I wasn't fully in the mood and did not ask; I know one buddy (it was a bachelor party) had one of the dancers over to his hotel room later on in the night. I've been other spots where dancers pushed extras; not here.
The real knock on it is its own success. We were a bachelor party of twelve, and some of these guys were well-dressed, big-spending finance types. We had booked a table with bottle service. Given that, I expected more attention from dancers (and servers)... but there was another table with clearly an even more VIP party (someone said it was a hip-hop star and his crew but none of us could recognize him), and to be blunt, we were basically getting their leftovers. Because it's a small space, the highest-spending table will easily flag anyone over they want. And at least on a weekend night, even with a party, maybe assume that table won't be you. You'll also have to deal with a fair number of bachelors being hauled up on stage and mildly titillated/embarrassed by dancers, which I find a bit tacky, but it's over quickly enough.
