The place looks pretty nice. It's small, with a two -pole center stage that has a couple of lighting tricks. Strings of colored lights accent the walls and stage, all in all it's a pretty comfortable look. The chairs and tables near the stage are set up for dining. Behind them, you have the usual wheeled bucket seats. There are veiled booths in the back for $20 dances. Five TVs in that small a room is a bit too much.
Sonny's was impressively busy for a Saturday afternoon. Dress code seems to be shorts and a tee shirt. A few of us had slacks and collars, but we were in the minority. there were several dancers available, White and Latina, with some silicone but not much. All of the dancers were pretty. Mileage is adequate for Phoenix, nothing special. The veiled booths give you some privacy, but the dances there aren't any hotter.
The music system is in good shape, unlike some clubs on the west side. Tunes were mostly rock, with some hip-hop, girl pop, 70s, and even country-western mixed in. The songs are cut way short.
