A good down to earth SC in a city that badly needs more of them.
This review covers about 6 or 7 visits during early June, all during the afternoon to early evening. I find that CB is now the only place in Vegas that I like and look forward to visiting. As others have pointed out, this is not a fancy, high class place and neither is the location, but many other Vegas SCs are not in highly desirable locations either, but other clubs (except Palomino) are closer to the Strip. But CB prices are much lower especially for dances ($20, five for $100 still seem to be the going rate) but also for beer (I didn’t try anything else) and the cover is minimal (either free early or $5 later in the day). So, your dollars stretch much further here Tipping at the stage didn’t seem to be much of a thing here and there isn’t the “dollar parade” that gets tiring back home in MD.
My only real complaint is the high music volume; I find it excessive, and my watch notified me several times the I was in a “too loud environment” that might damage my hearing. Between the loud music, my already bad hearing, most dancers speaking little English and my very weak Spanish, conversation was a challenge. (To management: please lower the music volume: that will help (not hurt) business!)
The parking lot is far from ideal too but your car in the lot is out in the open and didn’t seem to be a problem or a hangout for folks. I didn’t have any parking problems or see any signs of vandalism. I guess you could park in the lot of the mid-sized casino across the street too. The casino across the street and the Palomino nearby ensures this is never an isolated location – that’s good for safety too.
