Underwhelming Saturday Night

I arrived at Fox Club on a Saturday at about 12:30am. Parking was easy to find, but the lot was small.

I entered in what felt like a ticketing booth at a concert… cashier behind glass and a turnstile. Cover was $10 w/ ID check. Bathrooms were immediately to the left. The layout is like a long rectangle with two sections. As you walk into the front section, there are pool tables on the left, semi-private VIP in the center, and the bar on the right. In the back section there is the sunken stage in the center and two levels of seating on left and right.

At 12:30am, the place was moderately busy, maybe 30 customers. The bar was full and stage had a few groups. This club had more groups versus single customers than most places I’ve visited. I guess that’s a weekend in a college town. I did a lap and asked a waitress for a light beer and she said ‘she was new and not sure if they had that’, so I found an opening at the bar and got a local lager for $5.
