OK bar, but dance prices were a ripoff
My flight into Syracuse got in around 10pm and I stopped by DD since it was nearby. No cover, which was great. Walked in and there's a small bar on an island in the middle of the room, and a handful of regulars around having some beers and talking to the girls. It's a pretty standard dive bar atmosphere. Certainly nothing fancy, but it's at least kind of comfortable if that's your thing. There were 5 girls working, though a couple others cycled in/out while I was there. 1 asian who was by far the best looking of the bunch but was stuck in a conversation with someone, and the rest were white and not much to look at. There is a stage off to the side and they did manage to keep someone going up regularly even with the slow crowd.
I was pretty exhausted from travelling and asked the bartender if they had any coffee, she was really nice and brewed a fresh pot for me. All the people working there were very nice and accommodating.
One of the strippers came over to talk and we had a nice chat for a bit. I bought her a drink and slipped her a few bucks for spending the time hanging out. She asked if I was interested in a dance and then quoted some absolutely outrageous prices. Like $100 for 5 minutes fully clothed in one of the open booths right next to the stage. $200 for topless in a semi-private booth. There were a few more options that went up from there but honestly, I had stopped listening at that point. I don't know if she was just trying to highball me because I looked like a business traveler, maybe your milage will vary, but this dive just has no business charging above market rates for dances in a dumpy bar with mediocre talent.
