I read in the Post-Tribune that GPD raided the place last Sunday during one of the lock-ins. The Miller community activitists saw a flyer and contacted the vice squad who then attended the party. Eight people were arrested ... the manager, the owner, two dancers, a DJ, and other people who weren't named in the story. The dancers at the lock-in were from Shangri-la down the road and Honey's itself. The arrests were for the usual things that get people arrested in strip clubs. Also, the story mentioned that the cops reported building code violations. The Miller community group has been putting a lot of pressure on the US 20 clubs lately (they blocked a new club from opening near the old K-Mart) ... it will be interesting to see what happens in the next couple of months because of the astronomical tax increases in that area -- I bet anything the residents ask for there they will get to make up for their huge property tax increases. The police seem to be putting a lot of emphasis on the Miller area and the strip clubs.
