I went on a long adventure...

I went on a long adventure today. I hopped on one of the blue busses that pass by my door, just to see where it goes. I rode it to the end of the line and found myself in a small town in the Andes Mountains, about 35 miles north of Quito. Nothing-ultra special about the destination, but the sights along the way were great. I took some pictures and hopped on a bus going south. I winded up south of Quito. I hopped a couple of more buses to get back home. I learned a lot. $0.25 for each bus ride.

On my journey I passed the University Central of Ecuador three times. I also passed right by Club Medellin twice. The first time I resisted. The second time I remembered that there is another club near by, so I got out to explore. Would you believe it is less than 100 feet away? You could walk right past both of these places and never know that they were there. This one is called Paradise Women. It is a much grander house with a full bar and larger selection. Admission is $3, which includes one regular size drink. The music is quite loud. There is a disco, TV room and several sitting rooms downstairs. Spontaneous dances take place in the disco area. I took it very slow. This is the kind of a place where you could just sit and have a drink, fool around with the girls and go home happy. No pressure. I found someone that I liked very much. We started fooling around. She was doing things that would have gotten us both thrown out of a strip club in the US. Then two federal marshals walk in, in full uniform. I was concerned. One went to the bar and ordered drinks; the other went upstairs with a chica. They enjoyed themselves very much and were just one of the guys.

I keep forgetting that although these places are discreet, they are perfectly legal. I asked the price. She said $50, I though that was a little steep, but this is a nice place. When I paid the house I realized that she said $15. They sound a little alike. We went upstairs. Beautiful old carved wooden walls. She allowed pictures. Most of the girls I met do not. She was possibly the most talented girl so far. It also helped that we clicked. Total cost $18.
