Candyland is in downtown Atlanta, an easy walk from lots of hotels including the one I was staying in, and a couple blocks from a decent sushi place. This made it one of the most convenient clubs to visit (if you're staying downtown). I walked, but there was parking next to the club. It looked like a public lot, not connected to the club, but there were guys with "valet" t-shirts too, so maybe there's an arrangement.

Entering required passing through a metal detector, then providing an ID, which was not scanned.. There was no pat down and I wasn't charged a cover. Based on previous reports, I assumed the latter meant the club was dead inside, and that proved true. A bottle of water was $7, I think.

The club interior was fine. There was a decently sized stage off-center in the room, with a scattering of tables and benches along the walls. The space was broken up so that some seats had poor views of the stage. There was a long bar down one side, with no seats at all. Lots of red LEDs were everywhere. It was very loud.
