Casa Diablo on a weekend night
I’m in the mode right now of going to clubs I haven’t been to in awhile to see what has changed. Casa Diablo was next on my list. I came out here a few weeks ago on a Friday night. Casa Diablo is located in the industrial district, a few miles away from downtown. There is a tall sign that says “Dancers” outside of the entrance of the club, the sign is hard to miss. There is a little parking on the lower level, but most of the parking is on the upper level, and you have to go up a pretty steep hill to get to the upper level.
Once you enter inside, they check your ID and you pay cover. I don’t believe there is cover during the week. Cover is 8 bucks on Friday and Saturday night. They give you 2 dollar bills in change, so pretty much you have spend all the change they give you at Casa. Where else are you going to pay with 2 dollar bills? Well I guess you could, but it’s a little weird lol. Anyways, I always make sure to bring a sufficient quantity of ones when I go to Casa. I don’t like dealing with the 2 dollar bill shit. When you enter, you see two ATM’s. I believe the ATM is a 10% withdrawal fee, so yes if you’re taking out $200, it would actually be $220. Yikes!
There are 2 main stages and a mini stage at the back of the two stages. The girls just use the mini stage to stretch and practice tricks. The stageset are two songs, the dancer is on the 1st stage for the 1st song, then goes to the 2nd stage for the 2nd song. It’s a minimum of a 2 dollars tip per song if you’re at the stage. Music seemed to be mostly rock/heavy metal. As far as seating in the club, there aren’t a lot of seats. When it gets busy a lot of people will definitely be standing. There is a smoking patio outside. The bar is at the end of the club, drink prices seemed on par with a lot of Portland strip clubs. Casa Diablo is a vegan club, I’ve heard the food isn’t too bad, but I’ve never tried it.
