Friday night at GC

Based on the reviews, this seems to be the most popular club right now in Portland where you can have extra fun with the girls. I decided to check it out for myself to see if it lived up to the hype.

I strolled in on a recent Friday night around midnight. I don’t get out to this area of town much. Decent sized parking lot. The smoking patio is outside of the entrance. Quick patdown from the bouncer and a 5 dollar cover. You walk in, there are two pool tables to the right of you. The bar is straight ahead, there are seats at the bar, so that was nice. Drink prices were comparable to your SE strip club dive bars (DV8, Venue etc). Gold club definitely has a dive club feel. They have two stages, only one stage was in use on this night, two songs set, the girls got all the way naked I believe.

The customers were more of a blue collar type of crowd. There weren’t a lot of customers on this night, somewhere between 10-15 customers. Music was a mix of rock and hip hop. Mainly customers in their late 20’s/early 30’s with a few customers probably in their 40’s and 50’s.
