No luster at the Gold Club

I was in Center City Philadelphia with some time to kill, so I decided to pop into the Gold Club. It is in a strange location, down an alley with huge dumpsters on both sides of the alley.

I arrived on a Tuesday afternoon around 4. The room is very dark. When you enter, the bar is to the right, and beyond that is a stage with two poles. There are about 6-7 round tables spread throughout the room with 2-3 chairs at each table. It is a very small room. Lap dance rooms are at the back of the room through an open doorway. They are small cubicles with a bench and a curtain. They are not conducive to enjoying your dancer of choice. Think broom closet with a curtain and you get the picture.

There were 3 dancers there when I walked in. Two full-bodied ones, and one with decent curves...all woc. None of them took the stage for the hour I was there. I started a conversation with a dark-skinned, full-figured dancer. She was pleasant and we talked for a few minutes about nothing special. She told me that dances are $30/4min and hands can roam anywhere, but no extras allowed. There is a VIP room, but I didn't ask her about it, so I don't know the cost.
