Mary's works as an opener but not a main event
After departing Seattle and leaving Kittens Cabaret and Kayla in the rearview I continued my roadtrip south to Portland. Arrived late, got myself a nice hotel downtown (except that the A/C was on the fritz), showered, changed, and made my way over to Mary's as I heard it's a Portland institution. Paid a $2 cover to the doorman and walked in to find myself in a long, narrow neighborhood bar with a small stage to the left where a girl had her tits out. Toward the back, past the kitchen and bathrooms I spotted a couple small dance rooms separated by some drapery.
As a strip club it feels half-assed, as a neighbor hang I can see it doing the job. I grabbed a Jack and Coke from the bar, turned around, walked 2 steps, and took a seat at the stage for the show. There was a 4 girl rotation working. All white roster, plenty of tats as I'd expect for Portland. One woman in particular caught my eye. She was rocking beautiful full boobs and had hips and as ass to match. Dark hair, cat-eye glasses, dramatically winged eye liner, and her tattoos completed the goth-y look. It worked on her. Unfortunately she quickly disappeared after each of her sets (I saw the rotation through twice) and I didn't see her head for the back for dances. So I settled for Angie. Skinny, cute-ish, friendly. She's not my preferred type but she was offering dances and I was ready to check out the setup at Mary's and be on my way. 3/120 was the deal. Angie delivered a perfectly fine dance and was super friendly, giving me lots of recommendation on places to check out for my first time in Portland.
My recommendation, stop into Mary's as a warmup for another club.
