Great night at The St James

I was in Houston for work and decided the visit St James on a Thursday night b/c of the reviews I read here. It was about a 10-15 Uber from the IAH hotel I was staying at.

I arrived and an older lady checked my ID and if I remember right the cover was $20. I emptied my pockets before going through a metal detector.

When I walked in the place was pretty dead. Maybe 5-10 customers and maybe 2 girls on stages. I was seated at a table near the main stage. The vibe was pretty old school, but felt clean… factor in the DJ and it was sorta like a 2000s prom on steroids. The place smelled of smoke, but not so bad to bother a non-smoker as myself. It wasn’t until maybe 8:30 until more girls showed up and a steady stage rotation was in play.
